What drives me

Purposeful design. Meaningful impact.

My five guiding principles

Stay user-focused

Start with an understanding of user needs, both articulated and implied. Identify the real-world problems that require efficient, functional solutions. Always read between the lines.

Provide simple solutions

Embrace bold, blue-sky ideas - regardless of origin. Evaluate and distill those ideas into impactful solutions. Which elements or behaviors don’t serve the user,  brand, or business?

Be nimble (and Agile)

Don't run from evolving user requirements, business needs, or technology. Treat them as opportunities, not directives. Assess and integrate when and where it makes sense.

Manage shifting priorities

Evolve with the business and users without derailing the established roadmap. Reassess, reprioritize when there is value to be gained, and communicate, communicate, communicate.

Value teamwork and collaboration

Embrace the collective benefits of teamwork and cross-functional collaboration: transparency, understanding, and a commitment to partnership. This is one of the best ways to minimize avoidable gotchas at the last minute.

What I do

Strictly for fun

When I'm not working, I enjoy time with  family and friends, cooking and eating, watching movies, listening to music, and just hanging out. When it’s my time, I like to build cars, motorcycles, furniture, models, you name it. If it's broken, I like to fix it.
